Premium Allied Tool (PAT) optimizes product manufacture
cycle with network upgrade from Madge Networks
100Mbps switched Token Ring infrastructure will enable leading manufacturer
of high precision metal stamping components to improve planning, purchasing
and inventory maintenance

- Madge Networks N.V. (NASDAQ NM: MADGF) has successfully completed
a significant Token Ring implementation for Premium Allied Tool (PAT),
the leading international manufacturer of ultra-high precision metal
stamping components. PAT has upgraded its existing IT network to a
100Mbps high performance switched Token Ring infrastructure capable
of delivering even higher levels of reliability and availability.
This forms part of the company's overall network review, aimed at
improving product planning, purchasing and inventory maintenance to
bring products to market more accurately and quickly.
Based on Madge Smart Ringswitch Plus™, the enhanced network
infrastructure will provide Premium Allied Tool with centralized network
management, increased bandwidth and optimization of its existing Token
Ring investments. It also offers a cost-effective platform to support
the integration of Ethernet applications when required by means of
the Ethernet Integration module in the Madge Smart Ringswitch Plus.
