Networks N.V. (NASDAQ NM: MADGF) has announced the availability of
new Linux Open Source Drivers for its advanced range of Token Ring
adapters. The new drivers include Open Source software that supports
Linux Kernel version 2.4.2, and pre-compiled drivers for implementations
based on Kernel version 2.4.2. This provides a flexible migration
path for Linux customers and developers wishing to adopt Madge's latest
Token Ring technology.
The new drivers are available to download from the Madge Networks
website at www.madge.com/downloads and support Madge's Smart Mk4 PCI
family, RapidFire 3140 PCI family, and the Smart CardBus MKII Token
Ring adapters. To further support the Linux community, Madge has also
established an online discussion forum. Visitors to www.madge.com/forum
will be able to share views and ideas on the use of the Linux range
of solutions in a Token Ring environment for increased competitive
advantage.
