Madge Networks' Token Ring Adapters achieve certification
for use with Stratus
Madge Networks and Stratus provide ATM/POS customers with complete
solution
Amsterdam, The Netherlands (December 3, 2002) - Madge
Networks N.V. (NASDAQ: MADGF) announces that Stratus Technologies -
a leading supplier of fault tolerant, real-time transaction server
platforms - has certified the Madge Smart Token Ring Adapters for use
with its Stratus® ftServer® line. This is in response to demands
from Stratus customers across EMEA for a certified Token Ring adapter
option. This certification will provide organizations in EMEA, running
Stratus ftServers, with a powerful Token Ring solution.
Stratus servers provide uninterrupted processing, business continuity,
and reliability for major financial institutions and government organizations
including the US '911' emergency service. The company recognizes customer
requirements to demonstrate its compatibility with Madge products as
part of a drive to develop business in the ATM/POS markets of Italy,
Germany, France, Saudi Arabia and the Benelux countries. Tested under
strenuous conditions, the Madge products meet Stratus' requirement
for fault detection and fault isolation.
