RMA FAQs
Q1: Who can I contact if I experience problems using these web pages,
or if I have a query about an outstanding RMA?

Q2: Will any information be required, in addition to my RMA Submission
?
The warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the product.
To enable Madge to validate the warranty, you may be asked to provide
proof of purchase.
Q3: Do I have to return my faulty products ?
All faulty products should be returned to Madge. PC adapter cards
should be returned by post. Madge provides instructions for returning
other
products.
Q4: When will I receive my RMA number ?
Madge provides the RMA number and return instructions as soon as
the return is authorised.
Q5: When will I receive my replacement products ?
Replacement products for Dead-on-Arrivals are usually shipped as
soon as the RMA is authorised. Other replacement products are shipped
within 2 working days of receipt of the faulty product.
Q6: How do I know which number is the serial number?
The serial number is located on the rear of the
adapter card.


Madge
serial numbers have 2 possible formats:
(a) 6 alpha-numeric characters
(b) 12 alpha-numeric characters, always starting with 004081......
Q7: I'm not sure my card is faulty, how do I contact Technical support?.

Q8: I purchased my Madge products from the former Madge Networks Group
prior to the 16th April 2003. Are these products still covered by the
original warranty agreements through the "New" Madge Ltd?
Although Madge Ltd has no legal liability to take over these warranties,
in the interests of our customers and business continuity, we agree
to provide, from the date you acquired the product:

Token Ring Adapters - 2 year hardware warranty.
·
Wireless and Token Ring switch products - 1 year hardware warranty.
This applies to the original purchaser of the products only. Please
note that Software Warranties are covered in Question 9 below.
Q9: I purchased Madge products from the "new" Madge Limited
after the 16th April 2003. Are there any changes to the warranty conditions
to those printed on the contract?

hardware and software on all products are available
here.
In summary, all Token-Ring adapters have a full 5 year warranty,
whilst Token-Ring switch products and all wireless hardware have
a standard
1 year warranty period.
Q10: What are my options for products that require repair that are
now "out of warranty"?
For all "out of warranty" Token
Ring Infrastructure products, Madge Limited is willing to supply, while
stocks last, a repaired/refurbished
product for an agreed price which will include the related shipping
costs. To arrange a quote for out of warranty repair please contact Sales
